So on the 4th and 5th of March, our talented hair stylists had the privilege of attending the Alfaparf Academy in Milan, Italy.

Learning from the Best: Voni Education Educators from Rome
The Alfaparf Academy prides itself on providing top-notch education, and we were fortunate to be trained by two of the most knowledgeable and experienced Voni Education educators from Rome.
Oni Quadrino, a renowned hairstylist, and Daniele Gnisci, an expert hair colourist, guided us through the two-day training program with their wealth of expertise and passion for hair.
Day 1 – 4th March:
The first day of the academy began with demonstrations from Oni Quadrino and Daniele Gnisci. They showcased their skills in hairstyling and hair coloring, inspiring us with their creativity and artistry.
Following their demonstrations, we had some thought-provoking lectures, deepening our understanding of different hairstyling techniques and trends.
One of the highlights was learning and practicing the air touch technique for colour placement on mannequin heads. This technique allows for seamless blending and natural-looking colours, achieving stunning results.
We also had the opportunity to enhance our cutting skills using the freehand technique and experimenting with disconnected bangs at the front, adding an edgy and contemporary touch to our growing repertoire of styles.
Day 2 – 5th March:
The second day of the academy started again with another set of demonstrations by Oni Quadrino and Daniele Gnisci, this time using live models.
These demonstrations served as a reminder of the endless possibilities that can be achieved through mastery of technique.
On this day, we focused on honing our own skills in colour placement and some more toning techniques. Understanding the subtleties of colour and how it interacts with different hair types is paramount in creating personalised and flattering looks for our clients.
More lectures on face shapes and their correlation with haircut choices have empowered us to maximise the natural beauty of an individual, by taking into account their own unique features.
We also delved into the art of layering to create volume and fullness. Layering is seen as a versatile technique that adds dimension and movement, allowing us to create hairstyles that complement our clients’ preferences and face shapes.
Moreover, we discovered other various blow-drying and styling techniques that can elevate our clients’ overall look and help them maintain their desired style at home.
What did we think about this experience?
