We believe that Christmas is not just about giving and receiving gifts, but also about spreading joy, love, and warmth. And what better way to do this than by celebrating together as a team?
Christmas Tee Shirt Day
Last week, our salon decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of the usual Christmas Jumper Day, we celebrated Christmas Tee Shirt Day!
Why the Change?
We all love the cosy warmth of a Christmas jumper. But let’s face it, sometimes they can be a bit too warm, especially in the salon when you’re working hard to make our clients look their best.
So, we thought, why not switch to Christmas tee shirts? They’re just as festive, but much cooler and more comfortable for our busy team.
A Day Full of Festivities
The salon was buzzing with excitement. Everyone showed up in the same festive tees, quite uniformly.
Clients loved the change too, commenting on how refreshing and fun it was to see us in our holiday tees.
The Great Salon Cake Competition
If you didn’t know, one of the other highlights of our year is the annual Cake Competition between the hair and beauty departments.
It’s a friendly rivalry that adds an extra layer of excitement and creativity to our holiday celebrations.
Each department puts their baking skills to the test, creating delicious and beautifully decorated cakes.
The competition is fierce, but it’s all in good fun. After all, who doesn’t love a bit of friendly competition…and cake?
Ashleigh’s Quest for Victory
This year, there’s a particular buzz around the competition. Ashleigh who leads the Beauty team, is determined to claim the title.
Last year, she came close to winning but was just pipped at the post. This time, she’s pulling out all the stops to ensure victory.
Apparently, Ashleigh has been experimenting with new recipes and decorating techniques, or in her words “just slapping some roll out icing on” – aiming to create a cake that not only tastes amazing but also looks stunning.
We can’t wait to see what Ashleigh and the others come up with this year. No matter who wins, we know it will be a day filled with laughter as usual and of course, lots of delicious cake to eat!
